¿Is the world that small?

Se dice que "el mundo es un pañuelo" cuando se quiere expresar que no es tan grande como parece. Por ejemplo, si te vas de vacaciones a algún lugar lejano, como por ejemplo a Japón, y allí te encuentras a tu vecino del barrio, lo más probable es que le digas que "el mundo es un pañuelo" porque por muy grande que sea, allí os habéis encontrado.
